Boogie Nights, Global Warming Style

'Tis the season for big nights of boozing and clubbing, and here's a pretty fabulous way to ease any hedonistic guilt: a dance floor that doubles as an electricity generator. Yep, the energy from your moves powering the entire club:

Of course, you'd have to head to the Netherlands to get a crack at the fun. The project is called Sustainable Dance Club, the vision of the Rotterdam-based Enviu and the architecture firm Döll. It launched in '06 as a mobile venue, part of the world's first sustainable dance party.

Sustainable Dance Club now has its sights set on a permanent home to be opened in '08 in Rotterdam with plans to spread the gospel far and wide.
