Stuff: The Price is Not the Story

Free Range Studios has produced a short film that tells the story of the true cost of consumerism
. That $4.99 radio you buy at radio shack? The price doesn't even begin to cover its cost of production, distribution, and sale. The video teaser above shows why.

So who or what, is subsidizing the cost of that radio? Watch the whole charming film for the answers.
And keep in mind, it's not just radio. It's that gallon of gas. That pound of coffee beans. That can of tuna. That disposable razor. Even though it's a struggle sometimes to buy all that stuff that we can't live without, we haven't even started to pay the true price.
