Carbon Risk for Investors: Disclosure Demanded

Inside the boardrooms of every corporation, carbon, global warming and energy are high on the agenda. Problem is, the captians of industry are mostly not talking publicly about the risks they face and what they're planning to do about it. That's why investors -- who after all are the owners of corporations -- have joined forces with state officials and environmental groups to demand disclosure.

They've taken their case to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and requested that it issue a rule making the release of material climate-related information mandatory. The SEC yesterday had nothing to say in response.
